KERRVILLE, Texas (AP) - Officials say they have arrested a suspect after a woman was found slain outside of the Central Texas radio station where she worked.
Kerr County Sheriff Rusty Hierholzer (https://bit.ly/25lWS5B ) told the San Antonio Express-News the woman’s body was found early Wednesday morning at The Ranch Radio Group offices in Kerrville. Heirholzer says the killing appears to be a “random act of violence.”
She’s been identified as 52-year-old Sherry Ruth Francis, who officials say had worked at the station for about a month.
Hierholzer hasn’t released details of how she was killed. An autopsy is planned.
Heirholzer says about 90 minutes after the body was found, the suspect was seen walking along a highway and confessed under questioning.
Kerrville is about 70 miles northwest of San Antonio.
