HAHNVILLE, La. (AP) - Bail has been set for the man accused in the death of a 16-year-old Kenner teenager whose body was found in a St. Charles Parish ditch.
WDSU TV reports (https://bit.ly/23mslhU) 40-year-old Daniel Beckley’s bond was set Tuesday at $1 million dollars.
Beckley was arrested Monday on second-degree murder and obstruction of justice charges.
His arrest came a week after Jorion White’s body was found April 24.
Sheriff Greg Champagne said Monday the exact location and time of White’s death have not been determined, although the sheriff said detectives think she died on the evening of April 22 or early the next morning.
The sheriff identified Beckley as the longtime, live-in boyfriend of White’s mother.
