FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) - A suburban Philadelphia high school English teacher faces sexual assault charges for allegedly having a month-long sexual relationship with an 18-year-old student.
Police say Rose Limuli was arrested on Monday and charged with a dozen third-degree felony counts of institutional sexual assault.
Police say the 39-year-old Lansdale woman, who taught at Upper Dublin High School for more than two years, bought the student gifts and gave him $1,000 in cash.
Police say the sexual assaults happened after the student turned 18.
Limuli is free on $50,000 unsecured bail. Her preliminary hearing is planned for May 16.
Neither Limuli nor her lawyer, Matthew Sedacca, could immediately be reached for comment.
