CINCINNATI (AP) - A 21-year-old Ohio man has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a college student who was visiting a friend in Cincinnati.

Hamilton County court records show that John Sanders of Cincinnati was charged Monday and was being held on $3 million bond, pending grand jury action.

Police have said Wright State University student Parris Hummons died at a hospital after someone opened fire on the car she and her friend were in the night of April 16. The friend was wounded and treated at a hospital.

Sanders’ attorney didn’t respond immediately Tuesday to a message seeking comment.
