FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Up to an inch of rain in southern North Dakota over the past week has boosted pasture growth and improved crop planting conditions.

However, the Agriculture Department says in its weekly crop report that planting of most crops remains behind last year’s pace.

Both topsoil and subsoil moisture across North Dakota is in decent shape, with both rated mostly adequate to surplus.

Pasture and range conditions are rated 69 percent good to excellent, and stock water supplies are 91 percent adequate to surplus.
