GOULD, Ark. (AP) - Lincoln County authorities say they continue to search a rain-swollen canal for a missing teenager from Gould.

Sheriff Leonard Hogg says the search for 15-year-old Kameron Tarlton is in a canal where his all-terrain vehicle was found overturned.

Hogg told reporters that Tarlton disappeared after calling his sister about 1:30 a.m. Sunday and said he was on his way home from a friend’s house.

Officials say the canal is one Tarlton often crosses, but it is swollen from a Saturday night rain and local inmates are using sandbags to build a temporary dam in an effort to slow the current and increase visibility.
