BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - The search continues for a 60-year-old Butte man who went missing during a weekend camping trip on the banks of the Jefferson River about 6 miles north of Twin Bridges.

Madison County officials tell The Montana Standard (https://bit.ly/1SWf64S ) that a third day of searching Monday turned up no sign of the man. Sheriff Roger Thompson said the search would resume Tuesday on a stretch of river downstream from the camp to the Waterloo area.

The man was last seen at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at the camp site.

Thompson says there was no sign of foul play or that a wild animal had visited the campsite and there was no evidence indicating the man was depressed. He had no known medical issues.

Thompson has not released the man’s name.
