TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A Tulsa man convicted of two counts of first-degree murder in the 2014 slayings of two women has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.

The Tulsa World (https://bit.ly/1NiNEz4 ) reports that 26-year-old Quantell Jamar Alverson received two life prison terms Monday. A judge ordered that the sentences run consecutively.

Alverson was accused of fatally shooting 26-year-old Amanda Drywater-Douglas and 37-year-old Jennifer Lynn Sudar on Nov. 26, 2014, at an east Tulsa apartment complex.

A car that police believed Alverson had driven from the scene was found partially burned two weeks later.
