DANVILLE, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say the two women killed by a southeast Iowa man who then killed himself were his estranged wife and her mother.

The three bodies were discovered Friday evening by deputies responding to a call from a teenage girl who’d escaped from the rural Des Moines County home and called 911.

The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office identified the two women as 36-year-old Tiffany Inghram, who lived at the home, and her mother, 63-year-old Wanda Dowell, of Palmetto, Florida.

The Sheriff’s Office says in a news release that 60-year-old Robert Inghram, of Mediapolis, confronted the two women in the home, fatally shot them and then killed himself. He’d been charged with sexual assault but was out on bond.

Autopsies have been ordered.
