JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - A Wyoming resort says its historic cabin has been donated to a local couple who plan to move and restore the structure.

The Jackson Hole News and Guide reports (https://bit.ly/1X6XKoH ) that Snow King Mountain Resort says the Murie Cabin will be moved to a new lot and donated to Terry and Claudia Winchell of Fighting Bear Antiques.

The cabin was built by George W. Kelly in 1925 and was home to naturalists Adolph and Louise Murie from 1939 to 1945. It was also home to other notable Jackson residents.

According to a press release, the Winchells have hired architect Danny Williams, who also designed the distinctive cabin that houses the couple’s antiques store.

The resort says the cabin will be ready to move by the end of the week.
