BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) - Kern County authorities say the fifth and final suspect in a fatal New Year’s Eve shooting has been caught in Mexico.

Sheriff’s officials say Omar Araujo was captured Friday south of the border and has since been brought back to California for prosecution.

KBAK-TV reported Tuesday (https://bit.ly/1VJJByw) that Araujo and four others could face charges including murder and gang participation.

The five are suspected in the shooting death of 43-year-old Ismael Ramirez, who was gunned down Dec. 31 in Wasco.

It wasn’t immediately known if Araujo has an attorney.
