ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A man who was previously convicted of murder and manslaughter has been arrested in western New York after police say he shot another person to death in his Alabama home.

U.S. Marshals say Nathan Thomas was arrested Tuesday morning in Rochester.

Thomas had been wanted by police in Montgomery, Alabama. Police say he shot someone to death in his Montgomery home late last month and then fled north.

Thomas is being held without bail at the Monroe County Jail in Rochester. It’s unclear whether he has an attorney representing him.
