MILWAUKEE (AP) - A Milwaukee police officer has been charged with child enticement and soliciting a child for prostitution.
A criminal complaint released Wednesday says 45-year-old Sonthana Rajaphoumi sexually pursued a 15-year-old girl in January and a 16-year-old girl last week.
The officer was booked into the Milwaukee County Jail and has been suspended from the Milwaukee police force without pay.
The complaint says he met the younger girl when she skipped school, texted her and later showed up at her house. The document says Rajaphoumi twice picked up the other girl in his personal vehicle and offered her money, implying he expected sex in return.
Court records do not list a defense attorney.
