KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) - A Brooklyn man who was arrested after authorities in Jamaica found more than $100,000 in undeclared cash in his luggage has been sentenced to prison in the Caribbean country.

A statement from the Jamaica Constabulary Force says 35-year-old Dalton Forrester was sentenced to three years in prison. He was also fined about $6,000.

Forrester was detained on suspicion of money laundering offenses on April 9 after he landed at the airport in Montego Bay on a flight from New York and authorities found $101,378. He pleaded guilty to charges that included possession of criminal property and was sentenced Tuesday.
