BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - The Madison County sheriff says the search for a 60-year-old Butte man who went missing during a weekend camping trip north of Twin Bridges has moved into a recovery effort.

Sheriff Roger Thompson says Cole Boehler was last seen early Saturday morning at a family campsite near the Jefferson River.

Thompson says there’s no sign of foul play and no indication that Boehler was depressed.

Thomson tells The Montana Standard (https://bit.ly/1WIqJyC ) that the river has dropped noticeably since Sunday and the change in river levels “may reveal something.”

The search was to resume Wednesday morning.
