PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A Temple University lacrosse player plans to walk at graduation after she was critically injured in a hit-and-run last year while riding her bicycle near the Philadelphia university’s main campus.
Rachel Hall had been preparing to graduate when she was hit in April 2015.
Authorities found her with severe head and leg injuries. Hall’s mother, Kathy, accepted her degree last year and says her daughter was given a 20 percent chance to live.
KYW-TV reports (https://cbsloc.al/1NUmSgv ) the Mullica Hill, New Jersey woman plans to walk at Temple’s athletics graduation on Wednesday and in the Honors Program and Liberal Arts graduations on Thursday. Hall also plans to attend the graduation ceremony for the entire university on Friday.
Rashan Roberts is serving 11 ½ to 23 months in prison for the crash.
