ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) - The ski season is starting soon in Vermont and the Burke and Jay Peak mountains are seeking workers.

There are several hundred job openings available, from sales to ski and ride instructors.

Burke scheduled a job fair Wednesday from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Witherell Conference Room in the Burke Mountain Hotel & Conference Center.

For both mountains, recruitment fairs are scheduled in Barton Village at the Senior Center on Village Square, on Nov. 9, and at Island Pond, Nov. 10, both 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Recruitment for Jay Peak jobs are scheduled in Newport at the Community College of Vermont on Tuesday and Nov. 15; Richford, The Crossing Restaurant, Wednesday; Enosburg, American Legion, Nov. 8, all 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Hotel Jay, 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. on Nov. 17 and Nov. 30.
