RIDGELAND, S.C. (AP) - Gov. Nikki Haley is heading to the Lowcountry to talk about recovery from Hurricane Matthew.

The governor’s office said Haley will be in Ridgeland on Wednesday as part of a relief event. The event is set from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jasper County Farmers Market.

Federal, state and nonprofit organization officials will be available to answer questions from residents of Beaufort, Jasper, Colleton and Hampton counties about help families and businesses after the storm.

Those who visit the event can register for financial help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. They can also apply for disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency will also be on hand to provide information for farmers about crop losses and damage.
