CAPITAN, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say an Arizona man has died in a rollover crash in New Mexico.

The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Michael Lowther II of Tucson.

New Mexico State Police say the accident occurred around 6 p.m. Monday near the small town of Capitan.

They say their initial investigation indicates Lowther was driving on U.S. 380 near State Road 220 when he lost control of the vehicle.

Police say it rolled multiple times and Lowther wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was ejected.

He was pronounced deceased on scene.

Police say the crash remained under investigation Tuesday.
