ELKO, Nev. (AP) - A Utah man who was stopped for speeding on U.S. Interstate 80 near Elko has been arrested on a drug-trafficking charge.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Frank Stricker of Magna, Utah was traveling more than 10 mph over the speed limit when he was pulled over at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday.

Trooper Natalie Hernandez says Stricker allegedly was in possession of more than an ounce of marijuana. He also is accused of driving an unregistered vehicle with an expired driver’s license.



The Elko Daily Free Press reports (https://tinyurl.com/h2vnwf3 ) Stricker was booked into the county jail on suspicion of trafficking a controlled substance, operating an unregistered vehicle, speeding and being a non-resident driver with suspended privileges.
