RENO, Nev. (AP) - Scores of protesters in Las Vegas and Reno joined those at rallies across the country to voice their opposition to the election of Donald Trump.
At least a hundred opponents of the Republican president-elect gathered at the Reno City Plaza Wednesday night to show their support for the LGBT community, immigrants, Muslims and others they say may not fare well under the new Trump administration.
Dozens also gathered in Las Vegas in front of Trump International Hotel before they marched down the Strip and back.
In Reno, some waved signs that read “United We Stand,” ’’We’re Better Than This,” and “Disarm Hate.”
22-year-old Alma Ramirez told the Reno Gazette-Journal she thought racism was almost dead, but Trump’s election shows “obviously it’s not.”
