INDIANOLA, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have arrested an Indianola woman suspected in the Oct. 31 death of a 7-month-old child.
Indianola police say Tori Bittner was arrested Wednesday and charged with child endangerment resulting in death. Online court records don’t list an attorney who could comment for Bittner. She remained in custody Friday, pending $500,000 bail.
Medics who were sent to an Indianola home on Oct. 30 found the boy in respiratory distress. Police say he was flown to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines but died the next day.
Police say Bittner was living with the father of the infant.
