SHAFTSBURY, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police investigators say two men are dead after shootings in Shaftsbury that appear to be a murder-suicide.
Troopers were called to Shaftsbury Road about 12:30 p.m. Friday after receiving a report there were two deceased males on the property.
The body of 38-year-old Trevor Gardner of Hoosick Falls, New York, was found in the yard of the home.
The second victim, 28-year-old Olanda Fitz, of Shaftsbury, was found in a truck.
Police did not say who is believed to have shot whom.
While a preliminary Investigation shows the incident appears to be a murder-suicide, however the final determination will be made in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
