LEBANON, N.H. (AP) - Police in Lebanon say a woman told authorities she was attacked while walking on a trail near Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center over the weekend.
Police say the 23-year-old woman reported that a man came up behind her on the trail off of Loop Road, threw her to the ground and physically assaulted her shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the woman, who hasn’t been identified, fought back and the attacker fled on foot. She sustained minor injuries. Police believe she was targeted at random.
The investigation is ongoing.
