Chicago Cubs fan Adam Jacobi was in a predicament. His boss wouldn’t let him wear his Cubs hat to work, and that absolutely needs to be done when it’s a Game 7 for your team that hasn’t won the World Series in 108 years.

So Jacobi reached out to the Cubs to see if they could convince his boss to let him wear the hat. And the Cubs responded with a totally serious letter.

And it worked! Jacobi’s boss had a change of heart.
