LANCASTER, S.C. (AP) - Police in Lancaster are looking for a man who failed to show up for his trial on a murder charge this week.

Multiple media outlets reported that 26-year-old Montrez Clark failed to appear in court Monday.

Prosecutors say Clark should be considered armed and dangerous. Local, state and federal authorities are looking for him.

He is the last of five defendants to face trial in the 2009 beating and shooting death of Lamario Ford.

Clark’s co-defendants accepted plea deals, including one who was shot to death last month. Thirty-two-year-old Yusuf Abdus-Salaam was killed near a day care in Lancaster. No arrests have been made.

Clark has been out of jail on bond since 2012. Prosecutors say Clark talked to his lawyer in September and knew the trial date.
