ACUSHNET, Mass. (AP) - Police in Massachusetts say a 3-year-old girl was killed when the vehicle her father was repairing rolled onto her.

Acushnet Police Chief Michael Alves says the girl’s father reported the accident at around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.

The child was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Bristol district attorney on Wednesday identified the girl as Victoria Varieur.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Victoria’s father was repairing an SUV in the driveway of the family home when it rolled down the driveway, and struck and killed her. The Ford Excursion continued down the driveway and came to rest against another vehicle parked on the opposite side of the street.

Foul play is not suspected. The investigation is ongoing.
