CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Police in Concord, New Hampshire, say an 83-year-old woman has died of injuries after she was struck by a pickup truck while trying to walk across a busy road.

Police said Wednesday that Yvonne Burroughs, of Concord, died of injuries suffered from crossing the road Monday night. There was not a crosswalk or traffic signal in the area. Burroughs suffered multiple injuries to her head and body.

The driver of the pickup truck, 66-year-old Marianne Sharpe, of Contoocook, immediately stopped and awaited the arrival of emergency services.

Police are still investigating the accident.
