LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say two women were killed after being struck by a car in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles.

Los Angeles television station KTLA reports (https://bit.ly/2gzBtmR) a third woman pedestrian was also hit by the car Sunday and critically injured.

The Los Angeles Fire Department says the two women were killed when they were hit by a car that first struck a street light and a fire hydrant.



The male driver of the Mustang had to be extracted from the car and was also taken to the hospital in critical condition.
