ATLANTA (AP) - A Georgia man is one of the 32 Americans chosen as Rhodes Scholars who will pursue post-graduate studies at Oxford University.
The Rhodes Trust announced Sunday that James C. Pavur was among the 2017 recipients. He was chosen from 882 applicants who were endorsed by 311 college and universities.
Pavur, an Atlanta native, attends Georgetown University where he will graduate from in December with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service. He is currently creating a sub $100 computer brain-interface to help paralyze and injure individual type.
Pavur is a junior member of Phi Beta Kappa with an interested in cyber policy. He has won numerous awards at national hackathons, a mentor to women coders and a founding member of a creating writing club.
