BELTON, Texas (AP) - Officials say a 13-year-old boy has died after being struck while riding his bicycle by a motorist who did not stop in Central Texas.

City of Belton spokesman Paul Romer says the boy died early Sunday morning after being struck Friday evening on an Interstate 35 service road near a convenience store.

Romer says police have identified the driver and impounded the pick-up truck involved in the accident. He says no charges have been filed at this time.

He said the boy died at the Temple hospital he was taken to after being hit.

Romer says the teen was riding his bike with other youths when he was hit.
