CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - The first snow of the season for much of New Hampshire caused numerous spinouts and accidents, including two fatal crashes.

Foster’s Daily Democrat reports (https://bit.ly/2gCvXjk) that a Dover man was killed on Route 4 in Durham when his car crossed into the path of a tanker truck Monday morning. Authorities say the road was covered in black ice. They have not released the victim’s name.

In Dover, state police say 43-year-old Olha Monaco of Somersworth died when the small truck she was driving went off the Spaulding Turnpike, struck a guardrail and overturned.

Elsewhere, crews responded to accidents on most major highways throughout the morning, including I-93, I-89, and Route 101.

Light snow was forecast for parts of the state into Monday afternoon.
