CLARENDON, Vt. (AP) - State Police say a 21-year-old Vermont woman is dead following a crash at the intersection of U.S. Route 7 and state route 7B in the town of Clarendon.
The crash was reported just before 1 p.m. Monday.
Police say a car being operated by Susan Allard, of Clarendon, pulled on to Route 7 from the side road into the path of a truck being driven by 41-year-old Terry Gordon of Sumter, South Carolina.
Allard was critically injured in the crash. She was pronounced dead on arrival at the Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Gordon was not hurt.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the state police in Rutland.
