BESSEMER, Ala. (AP) - Police say two men sought in the shooting of a 6-year-old girl wounded when gunfire pelted her Bessemer home are now in custody.

Sgt. Cortice Miles tells al.com (https://bit.ly/2gg8BfY) 20-year-old Deanthony Billingsley, of Bessemer, and 21-year-old Cardamlen Cooper, of Hueytown, surrendered peacefully about 2 p.m. Monday to authorities at the Bessemer Police Department.

Miles says both are charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling in the Thursday night incident.



Billingsley and Cooper are now awaiting transfer to the Jefferson County Jail, where they each will be held on $2.03 million bond.

Online jail records do not list attorneys for the men.
