SAN DIEGO (AP) - San Diego police say an armed woman shot herself at a downtown outdoor mall and was taken to a hospital.

Lt. Scott Wahl says no one else was injured Tuesday at Westfield Horton Plaza mall.

Wahl says police received reports of an armed woman at the shopping center at 11:24 a.m. He says initial reports indicate the woman shot herself in a corridor and not inside any store. Police performed CPR on her at 11:50 a.m. and she was later transported to a hospital.

Wahl says he did not have more details.

According to the San Diego Union Tribune (https://bit.ly/2fmCOrs ), the woman drove into the mall parking garage after a motorcycle officer tried to pull her over and ran. She then shot herself in front of officers pursuing her.
