A man and a toddler are dead following an early morning traffic crash in Miami.

Miami-Dade police spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta said in a news release that two cars traveling at high rates of speed crashed and caught fire early Saturday.

Zabaleta says the driver of one vehicle apparently lost control and hit the second vehicle. A woman who was a passenger in one of the vehicles was taken to a hospital and is listed in stable condition. The driver of the other was treated at the scene.

Once firefighters put out the flames, Zabaleta says they found the bodies of a man and a young girl dead inside one vehicle.

The names of the victims have not been released. Further details weren’t immediately available.
