RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Police say that a woman was killed on Thanksgiving Day in a car accident in Raleigh.

The News & Observer (https://bit.ly/2ggMiWW ) reports that the woman was turning left in the northern part of Raleigh when she pulled in front of an SUV that hit her car.

A police report says the 22-year-old woman had celebrated her birthday a day before the accident. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Of the SUV’s passengers, one suffered serious injuries and two had minor injuries. The SUV driver wasn’t injured.

The police report said the woman’s car turning left “failed to see its way clear.” No charges were filed, and police don’t suspect drugs, alcohol or speeding in the crash.
