SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a South Florida homeowner shot a wounded one of three burglary suspects, and the two others were later arrested.

Sunrise police spokesman Chris Piper told the Sun Sentinel (https://goo.gl/qSulpr ) that the wounded suspect was taken to a Fort Lauderdale hospital after the late Monday morning shooting, but his condition wasn’t known.

Police say two other suspects fled on foot, but officers detained them. Investigators didn’t believe there were any additional suspects.

Police weren’t immediately naming the suspects or what charges they might face.
