LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. (AP) - Orange County authorities say a 53-year-old man stabbed during a dispute in Laguna Niguel later died and another man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Sheriff’s Lt. Mark Stichter says deputies responding late Sunday to reports of an unconscious man found Thomas Robert Marston on the ground. The Laguna Niguel resident was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators identified Steve Richard Gilbert as a suspect and arrested him during a vehicle stop in Mission Viejo. The 59-year-old was held on $1 million bail.
Stichter tells City News Service that the two men had gotten into an argument, though it was unknown what prompted it.
It wasn’t immediately known if Gilbert has an attorney.
