JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Police have recovered a body from the St. Johns River that is suspected to be a missing Jacksonville woman.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says the medical examiner is working to identify the remains, which were found Monday night.

The Florida Times-Union (https://bit.ly/2fyvL3X ) reports police suspect the body is that of 29-year-old Ashley Nesshay Brown, who went missing on Thanksgiving Day.

Officers found her car abandoned on a bridge that spans the river. It was still running and its hazard lights were flashing.

Brown’s wallet was inside the car, and a responding officer noted evidence that someone had been sitting on the edge of the bridge railing.
