PHOENIX (AP) - An arrest warrant has been issued for an El Mirage couple accused of stealing more than $15,000 from the owners of a Surprise home in a construction fraud scheme.

The Arizona Attorney’s Office says a state grand jury indicted Rafaela Juarez and Hugo Juarez-Zaragoza for theft, conspiracy, illegally conducting an enterprise and fraudulent schemes and artifices.

State prosecutors now are trying to locate the couple to serve them with the indictment.

According to the indictment, the couple agreed to complete various home improvement projects at a residence this year between January and March.

They allegedly accepted about $15,000 in payments, but failed to complete the work and then abandoned the jobs.

Authorities say the couple may be using the aliases “Lisa Zaragoza,” ”Ana Zaragoza” and “Hugo Zaragoza.”
