LEBANON, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say a woman who called 911 to report shooting her ex-husband has been arrested on a murder charge in southwestern Ohio.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office reports 35-year-old Mercedes Robb also told the dispatcher that her ex-husband, Jason Robb, wasn’t breathing and she was going to try CPR.
Sheriff’s Lt. John Faine says the Lebanon man was dead in the front yard of his ex-wife’s house in Turtlecreek Township when deputies arrived about 6:30 a.m. Thursday. Authorities say Robb had come to his ex-wife’s home to pick up the couple’s two children and was shot multiple times with a small-caliber pistol.
Deputies say the couple may have been engaged in a custody dispute.
The suspect was in jail Thursday. It wasn’t clear whether she has an attorney.
