ALBEMARLE, N.C. (AP) - An inmate who left a prison in Person County has been captured.

The Department of Public Safety said in a news release that 34-year-old Jonathan Kee left the Roxboro Satellite Training Center early Wednesday.

Spokesman Keith Acree said Kee was found about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at a home in Stanley County.

Acree said Kee was a minimum-custody inmate assigned to Dan River Prison Work Farm in Yanceyville and attended classes at the training center.

Kee was serving a four-year sentence for possession of a gun by a felon and for drug related convictions. He was scheduled to be released in August 2018.

Acree said Kee will now face charges for felony escape from prison.
