LUMBERTON, N.J. (AP) - Two brothers have been charged with killing an acquaintance and burying him in the backyard of the New Jersey home where all three lived.
Twenty-seven-year-old Christopher Costello and 24-year-old Bryan Costello were charged Thursday with first-degree murder in the death of 23-year-old Justin Dubois.
Dubois’ body was discovered Thursday by investigators at the Lumberton Township home owned by the father of the Costello brothers.
Burlington County prosecutors say a relative contacted police Oct. 30, saying she hadn’t seen or heard from Dubois since Oct. 27, which was “uncharacteristic” of him.
A search warrant was obtained for the home. Detectives observed an area in the backyard where the soil appeared to have been recently dug up.
Excavation of the area revealed the body of Dubois.
No motive was released; no attorney information was available.
