NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Two men from different parts of Louisiana are among the convicted federal criminals who received sentence cuts in the latest round of commutations by President Barack Obama. Both men were sentenced on federal drug charges.

A White House news release Friday identified the men as:

- Kevin Lee Johnson of Bossier City. His offenses: Conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of crack cocaine; distribution of five grams or more of crack cocaine. He was sentenced to 30 years in 2006. The sentence has been cut to 15 years.



- Sean Johnson of New Orleans. His offense: Violation of the Federal Controlled Substance Act (two counts). His life sentence, handed down in 1999, was commuted to expire on Nov. 4, 2018 if he enrolls in residential drug treatment.
