PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - The last of three men charged in a drug-related killing in Biddeford, Maine, has pleaded guilty.
The trial of John Lopez was scheduled to start Friday in Superior Court in Portland. The Old Orchard Beach man was charged in the killing of Charles Raybine, who was shot multiple times in the head and neck as he sat in a parked car in 2013. Lopez pleaded guilty to felony murder.
Two others were charged in the case. Mohamud Mohamed of Portland pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy to commit murder under an agreement in which he was ordered to serve three years in prison. Court officials say Bub Peter Nguany (nuh-GAY’-nee) also pleaded guilty on Monday.
