ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A second man has been convicted of murder in the fatal shooting of three people outside a Rochester community center last year.
A Monroe County jury found 21-year-old Jalen Everett guilty of three counts of second-degree murder on Friday. He’ll be sentenced on Jan. 6.
Everett was charged along with two other men in the August 2015 shooting outside the Boys and Girls Club that killed three people and wounded three others. Prosecutors say the men drove up and fired into a crowd leaving a basketball game.
Earlier this year 21-year-old Johnny Blackshell Jr. was convicted of three counts of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
A trial is still pending for the third defendant, 18-year-old Michael Mathis.
