PORTSMOUTH, Va. (AP) - Police in Virginia are investigating the death of an infant who was less than 6 months old.
The Daily Press reports (https://bit.ly/2few7IZ) that the baby died late Saturday afternoon in Portsmouth.
Police and paramedics had responded to a call around 4:50 p.m. for a child who was not breathing. The infant was unresponsive when they arrived. The baby was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is being investigated by the Portsmouth Police Department Major Crimes Unit.
