A California man was fishing with his 2-year-old son along the Sacramento River when his truck was set ablaze over a pro-Donald Trump bumper sticker.

Hao Lee was forced to call police on Nov. 3 after hearing an enraged man destroy his vehicle. The father and son were only 50 yards away when the destruction unfolded.

“About a couple hours into fishing I heard someone yelling out ‘F’ Trump,” Mr. Lee told a local Fox affiliate Nov. 3. “After that I heard glass breaking, I called 911 and a couple of minutes later I saw smoke.”

A reporter for the station asked if gasoline or a Molotov cocktail was used, but the father said he did not want to approach the individual.

“I didn’t think anyone would do this kind of stuff over bumper stickers. It’s not right,” Mr. Lee said.

Footage captured by the station showed the charred remains of Mr. Lee’s vehicle being towed away, along with multiple cop cars at the crime scene.

Arson investigators with the Sacramento City Fire Department told the station that anyone who witnessed the incident can call (916) 443-HELP with details.
