OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) - An inmate who escaped from the Hamilton Work Release Center has been recaptured.
Al.com reports (https://bit.ly/2eeThlR ) Adryll Banks escaped from the north Alabama facility on Friday.
Bob Horton with the Alabama Department of Corrections said Sunday Banks was recaptured Saturday without incident at a hotel in Opelika at approximately 10:30 p.m.
Horton says a stolen vehicle Banks used in his escape was found at the hotel.
Banks is currently serving a 20-year-sentence for a first-degree robbery conviction from 2012 in Lee County. Horton says he will now face escape and other charges.
